No-knead bread recipe
A recipe from Sebastian.
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour (or 3 if I'm adding a cup of oats, just depends on my mood)
- 1 1/2 tsps salt
- 2 1/4 tsps yeast (because I make it the same day, and don't let it rise overnight)
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (though I usually add 1/2 cup more, to make the dough more moist)
- 2 tbs honey
- 2 tbs olive oil
Instructions
Stir it all up, let it sit at room temp for an hour or two, plop it into a parchment-lined pan, then let it sit again for 1/2 hour to an hour (until the dough starts to peek up over the lip of the pan.
Heat oven to 440 degrees. Bake 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 365 and bake for 45 more minutes.
Then you have bread. I brush some butter on it while it's still hot to keep the bread soft.
