Swedish apple pie recipe
A family recipe from my husband's side.
Ingredients
- 3 small apples
- 2 eggs
- .825 cup (2 dl) white sugar
- .825 cup (2 dl) wheat flour
- .5 cup (100g) melted butter
- Breadcrumbs (for coating pie tin)
- Cinnamon to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Slice apples thinly
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Whisk eggs and white sugar until fluffy
- Blend whisked eggs and sugar with white flour and melted butter
- Oil pie tin and coat with breadcrumbs
- Place mixed ingredients in oiled pie tin
- Place apple slices vertically into mix
- Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top (optional)
- Bake for 40-50 minutes
Tip: The batter can seem to be too little, but it will grow a lot. Squeeze in a lot of apple slices!
