Happenings
I'm attending a work event soon, so I finally got my dry cleaning done. My teammate asked me what I'd be wearing. I told her I'd bring my usual black dresses, but the most vexing part of the situation is shoes. We both bemoaned the challenge of comfortable, work-appropriate shoes.
I've been a grump grump grump grump grump. (My cough medicine makes me really tired. This is the busiest season of the year — and no Orange Theory to work off the stress, since I'm coughing.) Grump grump grump.
E picked up some chrysanthemum tea flowers for me. This is my favorite tea & I have not had it in a long time. The little joys. 🌸
Still no tub spout.
E has been eyeing (that's an understatement) the AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D CPU. It's been sold out everywhere online, so we went on a small road trip to pick one up at a shop that only sells it physically in-store.
Reading, watching, gaming
Still enjoying Core Keeper with my Sunday gaming group — fishing, cooking, and dabbling in beautifying the base.
Searching for more blogs written by women and started reading A Working Library. So far, I've enjoyed the essays Gather your gossips and A peasant woodland.
Tinkering
Read What does 'ephemera' mean on this website? & loved it. I wanted to collect quotes & links, but was never fully satisfied with my approach. Considering whether I want to try this... (of all my web tinkering, this is probably what I've thought about most for years).
I've been using a Slack workspace with friends & family for almost 10 years. It's been super buggy recently, and I'm looking into alternatives. Re-exploring self-hosting XMPP, Matrix, or Mattermost...
I'm a long-time Firefox user, but downloaded Mullvad Browser to try it out. Meet me on the deep net was a fun little adventure.
