Happenings

• I was displeased with Court strikes down US net neutrality rules, so I emailed my senators and rep about it.¹

• I've been eating so many tamago sando that I can't eat them anymore. I do this with food often. I love them a ton, then it takes years for me to recover. E said he's still waiting for broccolis to come back.

• I learned to type emojis / kaomojis on PC by tapping the win/gui key + the period key. 🤯 (I’ve been copying and pasting them from the internet this entire time.)

Gaming, reading, watching

• Factorio: Space Age — E has been super excited about this expansion since its release, and we've been making time to play it together. I'm obsessing over petrochemicals.

• Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang

• When the Stars Gossip — Hum, I’m here for Gong Hyo-jin, but the story is surprisingly lackluster.

Puttering

• I started some notes on what I was trying, then the whole thing grew legs and ran away. It's now its own post, I'm a Bearblog maximalist.

• I hemmed and hawed over how to share blogs for a long while. A blogroll? A postroll? I wasn't sure I could commit. After reading “Link In Bio” is a slow knife, I just went ahead and did it; I added a Blogroll. (I also used a little JavaScript to randomize the list order.)

• I saw tiramisu's #clippings tag and felt it was an apt name for what I was saving, more so than my #quotes tag. #quotes just has a certain... gravitas to it. #clippings feels casual, just a thing I wanted to save. I prefer it. So I've updated my #quotes to #clippings.
