Happenings
A medicine I used to pick up for $40 now costs me ~$1400 on my new health insurance. I guess I'll just go without it and see what happens.
Work is
a flurryin disarray as we navigate the changes. "We go back to our sphere of influence. What can we control?"3After months, I'm finally back at Orange Theory. I may have overdone it; my shins aren't happy.
Gaming, listening
Core Keeper — We decided to fight a boss and suddenly the end credits rolled.2 (We didn't expect to complete the game like that!) It looks like we will be playing Ember Knights next.
Jóhann Jóhannsson – Part 1 / IBM 1401 Processing Unit — I love the story behind this album.
Puttering
Magnolias, winter — Playing with colors & old fonts.
Flyfish + Nick tried the Polaroid-style image gallery and both shared that it didn't play well with their Bearblog themes. (Eek!) So I applied the Default theme1 to my sandbox and patched the conflicts — I added a few lines of CSS (with notes). I hope this addresses the issues and makes building something similar more approachable.
Tried uploading a .css file to Bearblog's Media library and it worked. I'm not sure what I'll do with this detail yet, but I like knowing it's possible.
Pruned all of my more personal posts (essentially everything filed under #musings). I quite liked some of them, but they needed to go. I find myself experiencing what tiramisu shared in looking back on 100k words: "I'm acutely aware now of the people that know this place exists, and that knowledge muzzles me." I'm not sure what I'll do from here.
