Happenings

• Finally made it out to IKEA. As we sat in the cafeteria sipping coffee with way too much half-and-half, we briefly discussed recent happenings™. There was arm-waving and coffee-spilling and some welling up of tears, which is not how I like to be in public spaces, but things happen.

• Replaced our aging dish set with OFTAST plates and bowls! (They are my favorite.) I told E that as much as I love ceramics that feel substantial, now I just want something light and comfortable to hold in my hands.

• The new houseplants have really livened up our home. 🪴 (I used to love propagating peperomia and will likely do so again after these grow for a while.)

• A few months back, my mom offloaded bins of family photos to me. I've been meaning to organize them, but had trouble finding lightweight photo albums. I ended up finding postcard holders at Daiso that fit what I was looking for, so I picked up a bunch.

• I think we broke our cats. They won't stop yelling (in the case of Calliope) and squeaking (in the case of Dione) for the string.

Watching

• Black Mirror series 7 — I liked "USS Callister" and was happy to see a sequel.
